Live Workshop at UniversitĂ Ca' Foscari, Venice
Project Type: public speaking event
Partner: Junior Enterprise Ca' Foscari Venezia
Goal: helping aspiring entrepreneurs from 5 different Italian universities to start their first business
Why this project?
Helping students define their career paths is very important to us.
Many students feel lost close to graduation—unsure of what to do next and feeling like no one cares.
We firmly believe that students deserve more guidance in defining their careers.
The choices you make between the ages of 18 and 24 will shape the next 40 YEARS of your life!
Yet, we often leave students to figure it out on their own, risking regret over their career decisions.
As Stoic Money, we believe everyone has a purpose on Earth—whether it’s a passion or a calling.
For us, a life well spent is one in which you fully pursue that calling.
Yet, very few people manage to do that.
Why?
Because we keep encouraging young people to take the safe path, the safe career, the less risky choices...
But, as far as we know, there’s no reward at the end of life for "playing it safe."
So the goal of this project was to show students that there is an alternative to the traditional career path!
Â
What did we do?
We partnered with JEVE (Junior Enterprise Ca' Foscari Venezia), an organization that brings together students passionate about entrepreneurship.
As Stoic Money, we were invited to their annual event, which gathers the five largest student-led entrepreneurship organizations.
The workshop, which you can watch below, focused on three main topics:
1) How to make the most of your university years;
2) The importance of learning to invest as early as possible;
3) How to build an online business from scratch, using Stoic Money as a case study.
Â
The second half of the workshop included a practical exercise called "Think like a CEO," where students took on the role of a CEO and made key decisions to achieve specific revenue outcomes.
 Â
What impact did we have?
The main goal of the workshop was to inspire students to make bolder choices, emphasizing that, especially when you're young, the greatest risk is taking no risk at all.
We also focused on the practical aspects of running an organization, as university courses often approach these topics in a way that is too theoretical and lacks real-world application.
Lastly, sharing the true story behind Stoic Money aimed to provide valuable lessons and highlight mistakes, helping students achieve success with their ideas more quickly!
